She was only nineteen when they first met
She didn’t realize how she delighted his life,
Or much had he adored her
Her eyes spoke only faith and truth
There was no question in her mind
That the future was supposed to be wonderful
His heart flew with her eyes, full of confidence
Whenever she gazed and smiled
Burst with happiness
He couldn’t take his eyes off her
He was only eighteen years old, still a boy
He was fearless of how the world was changing
Instantly, under the blink of his eyes
He had done countless silly things but
Every time he looked back and he knew
It was the time when innocence was still alive
It was love bloomed with the most naïve and purest hearts
Couldn’t figure out
When and why she had changed or
What he had become
Day after day, slowly they both realized
Forgotten means the inescapable path
Through the end of their rhythm
Maybe it is just growing pain everyone had to go through
Or maybe it is actually the greatest sorrow in their life
Never did the world care
How anxious they refused to
Let go of the memoirs
Desperately to catch the last pale shadow
Of their outlines
Truth is
Nothing can stop the images fading
From one to another
No longer are they kids
Some have said
It’s better to miss someone than
To meet them once again
There is no doubt in mind that
They will always, always have each other by heart
Even many years later
Her face is wrinkled and
His sideburn has turned to gray
They will still be able to put smiles
On each other’s face
Because he has changed and
She is no longer the same
Maybe he would never fall in love with
The person she has grown today
Perhaps they’ve used up and gone to the end of their fate
Or maybe it is just the feeling that’s fading away
In spite of they have thought about each other over the course of time
Undeniably, it is impossible to go back to the day
When they first met
Because she had changed some time ago and
He was not the same once he had been
Maybe someday they will talk about each other again
He could say it was a memory
She might see it as a romance
One thing for certain, always
They will treasure it deep in their heart
For the rest of their life
Remember you
Remember me
In our time my love,
Remember our love
